Okay, in reality, in theory (but actually rarely in actual
reality), Green means the gmail page has focus, Yellow means you are
logged into gmail but the page is not in focus, gray means you are not
logged in. You can set it to show yellow even when it should be green. I
think gray is always right. And of course what your computer is doing
often has no relation to what you are doing. And who said
stumps were all that stupid?
The same people that said that
doorknobs are dead and they were right about that. Of course I'm still
shaky on the whole smart whip thing. Must whips seem really stupid,
though I will admit rarely dull. And -- I quoted your "be
someone" sig to someone at work when we were in the kitchen and I was
"looking for things". I definitely found several in that category.
I changed it to that recently at the behest (hmm, it really is
spelled that way. Who knew?) of my mother who was tired of looking at
the previous one.GND -- guy named Dave.
I
thought that was 'Great National Debate,' but since that has been
replaced with the 'Embarrassing National Mudslinging' I guess GND has
been
freed up.Hmm, where to start?
I met him last September,
first Friday so I guess we could say a year ago today, waddaya know....
At the time he was going through a messy divorce & I walked away
thinking "this guy could be interesting in a couple years". For the
next many months we saw each other less than every month and chatted & I
heard more of the details of the wife & kids & the messiness, but he
seemed very sane and healthy and dealing with it surprisingly well.
We had our first actual date just before I left for India & he
picked me up at Logan on the way back, but then I didn't see him until
this past weekend because of his vacation, my vacation, kid times, his
extra-busy work right now (he's a chem engineer), etc.
Well, this
weekend we had supper on Saturday & got together for most of the PM on
Sunday and things are <going very well, thank you> :-)
I
refuse to jinx anything like this with any kind of comment with the
possible hypothetical 'good for you'
I hope your acupuncture
trip was easier than expected...and worth it!
--Carol :-)
Though laid out and checked, I still managed to forget
the headphones, sweat towel and sunglasses. Thankfully the sun
(or clouds) cooperated. And other than some very badly tuned
motorbikes, noise was kept in the bearable range. And I found
the place without a single wrong turn (this is my fifth visit
but the first not using a motorbike taxi). I don't quite have a
mental map of that area, but I've finally got the land marks
down.
My previous visits have undone and completely (so
far) removed ALL pain and returned full range of motion to my
neck, shoulders and hips (although what range of motion a hip
should have is open to debate. We are now moving into the
suspension of debrief area where he uses acupuncture to lessen
my diabetes. I'll believe it when I see it, but I said that
about the shoulder which I was sure was a combination of
bursitis, bone spur and pinched nerve. So, faith, I think they
call it, but I'm still fuzzy on that concept.
Hugs
Garth
